Ready to ring in the New Year!

Made sure I have plenty of salt for Sunday morning's ritual.  Every January 1st for the last ummmm.....so many years, I've done a protection ritual around my home.  Its saved our house and property on many occasions - as bad weather, hurricanes, floods and every other conceivable nightmare had been deflected, diverted and diminished.  The ritual itself came from a book by Scott Cunningham - one of my all time favorite pagan writers. Very simple to perform - it requires nothing more than pouring out a circle of salt - three times round - the perimeter of your property.  Always performed at the crack of dawn, sometimes by myself, sometimes with my beloved - the sparkling freshness of the early morning air - between the darkness and dawn - lends its own powerful magick.  Sometimes I sing, sometimes I pray - and always I give thanks to the Goddess and Mother of us all.
